Larry O'Neal
Larry O'Neal (b. May 5, 1949) is a former Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 146 following his win in a special election on November 6, 2001, to April 30, 2015, when he resigned to become the chief judge on the Georgia Tax Tribunal.[1][2][3]
O'Neal served as the House majority leader from 2011 to his resignation.
Biography
O'Neal worked as a partner with O'Neal, Long and Hall, LLP, as a manager of the Doctors Clinic of Warner Robins, and as a system analyst of Burroughs Corporation.

Elections
2014
Elections for the Georgia House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014, with runoff elections taking place where necessary on July 22, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Incumbent Lawrence E. "Larry" O'Neal, Jr. was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[4][5][6]

O'Neal ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 146. O'Neal ran unopposed in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012. He was unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[7][8]

2010
O'Neal ran for re-election to the 146th District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the July 20 primary and no one ran against him in the general election on November 2, 2010.[9]

In 2008 O'Neal was re-elected to the Georgia House of Representatives District 146. O'Neal (R) ran unopposed and finished with 22,810 votes.[10] O'Neal raised $117,900 for his campaign fund.[11]

When he served in the state legislature, O'Neal was a member of the Warner Robins Rotary Club, BB and T Bank of Middle Georgia Board of Directors, Georgia Bar Association, Houston County Bar Association, American Bar Association, Centerville Methodist Church, Houston Drug Action Council Board of Directors, and the Salvation Army Board of Directors.[12]
