Larry Palm
Larry Palm was a member of the Dane County Board of Supervisors in Wisconsin, representing District 12. Palm assumed office on December 17, 2020. Palm left office on April 16, 2024.
Palm ran for re-election to the Dane County Board of Supervisors to represent District 12 in Wisconsin. Palm won in the general election on April 5, 2022.
Palm was the District 12 representative on the Madison Common Council in Wisconsin from 2012 to 2019. Palm represented District 15 on the city council from 2005 to 2012.[1]
Although common council meetings in Madison are officially nonpartisan, Palm has been known to be affiliated with the Democratic Party.[2]
Biography
Palm studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.[2]
When he served on the city council, Palm's professional experience included working as school secretary for innovative and alternative education for the Madison Metropolitan School District. He served as cofounder and cochair of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network South Central Wisconsin, vice president of the Supportive Educational Employees Bargaining Unit, cochair of the Eken Park Neighborhood Association, treasurer and board member for the Friends of Starkweather Creek, president of the board of the AIDS Network, and chair of the Capital Area Regional Planning Commission.[3]

All 20 common council seats were up for election in 2017. Incumbents ran for re-election in 19 of the 20 districts. They were unopposed in 15 of those races. Incumbent Larry Palm ran unopposed in the general election for the District 12 seat on the Madison Common Council.[4]
