Larry Parman was the Oklahoma Director of Commerce and Gov. Mary Fallin's Secretary of Commerce from 2013 to 2014. He was named to these roles by Fallin on October 10, 2013, and assumed the positions in November.[1] He stepped down at the end of 2014.[2]

Parman served as Republican Oklahoma Secretary of State from March 1, 2013, to November 2013. Parman was appointed to the statewide office by Governor Mary Fallin (R) on February 14, 2013, to replace resigned former officeholder Glenn Coffee. Michelle Day served during the interim.[3]

In his role as secretary, Parman served as senior advisor to the governor on policy, economic and legislative issues.[4]

When he served in the state government, Parman, an attorney, had been chief executive officer of Parman & Easterday since 1985. He had been a partner with Notch It Up Strategies, LLC since January 2008, and a partner with CEO Maestro since January 2006. He previously served as president of The Hawthorne Group from June 2001 to December 2003.[5]

On October 10, 2013, Fallin named Parman as both the new director of the state Department of Commerce and as her secretary of commerce.[6]

February 2013

Parman was appointed as Oklahoma Secretary of State by Gov. Mary Fallin (R) on February 14, 2013 to replace Glenn Coffee who resigned. Michelle Day served in the position during the interim.[7]
