Biography

Larry Stanley was born in Downey, California. He earned a bachelor's degree from Life Pacific College in 1999 and a graduate degree from Capella University in 2007. His career experience includes working as a general manager, winery manager, teacher, preacher, and director of an international education organization.[1][2]

Larry grew up in Richland, WA and has been a preacher, teacher, entrepreneur and leader of an international not for profit. He currently is a Tasting Room Manager at Hamilton Cellars on Red Mountain in Washington State. Larry received a MS in Business Leadership from Capella University and a BA in Biblical Languages from Life Pacific College. When he's not running a winery, you can find him playing guitar, hanging with family, or reading a book, volunteering as Washington State Chair and staying current on all thing's politics.

Besides the Bible, the most recent favorite book is the "War on Normal People" by Andrew Yang. It is a great diagnosis of our economy's current and future problems and some good innovative solutions.

The main difference is that the state representative house is represented through the distribution of population more than the state senate is.
There is a benefit to having experience. I believe that having fresh new blood in a legislator position is more important than experience. That is why Term limits are important. New fresh ideas, energy and lack of corruption.
The same as most states, 1. Climate Change and 2. Income inequality. Also unaffordable housing as well as unaffordable health care. are both close to #2. With all four of these, there are also class, gender and racial inequities that need to be worked on.

A healthy relationship is one that can actually get things done. The governor should cast the vision and the legislature work out the details in bills.
Of course it is critical to build relationships with other legislatures. Especially those that you do not agree with on issues. In order to work together, to get something done positively for your state, you must know the other people in order to compromise.
An independent panel of citizens and judges, that must always have an equal amount of GOP as Dems. The process should have some basic rules that lines must be drawn a lo ng physical or logical boundaries when at all possible.
