The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was May 28, 2014. Bonnie Boyce-Wilson and Larry Woods were unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbents David Livingston and Phil Lovas were unopposed in the Republican primary. Livingston and Lovas defeated Boyce-Wilson, Woods, Fred Botha (I) and Suzie Easter (Americans Elect of Arizona) in the general election.[2][3][4][5]
