Larry Yarborough (Republican Party) was a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 2. He assumed office on January 1, 2015. He left office on January 1, 2023.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 28, 2014. Larry Yarborough defeated Sandra Hendrick Berry and Jon Gregory Bass in the Republican primary, while Ray Jeffers defeated Brent Groce and Dalton Huff in the Democratic primary. Yarborough defeated Jeffers in the general election.[9][10]
