Last day to file signatures for initiated state statutes in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah: Petition drive deadlines end today. All petition signatures for proposed initiatives must be submitted today to qualify for the 2010 ballot in Utah. According to the secretary of state five initiatives have been filed however, none thus far have been certified for the ballot. In order to qualify, initiated state statutes are required to have a minimum of 94,552 valid signatures, based on the total number of votes cast for governor in the last general election.
