Latrelle Joy
Latrelle Joy was a member of the Lubbock City Council in Texas, representing District 6. She assumed office in 2012. She left office on May 14, 2024.
Joy ran for re-election to the Lubbock City Council to represent District 6 in Texas. She won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Biography
Joy holds a B.S. in education and a J.D. from Texas Tech University. Her professional experience includes working as an attorney.[1]

2016
The city of Lubbock, Texas, held elections for mayor and city council on May 7, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 19, 2016. Four of six council seats were up for election on the same day, the three regularly-scheduled for election and District 1, which was up for a special election. Two of them were up for runoff election on June 25, 2016, including the District 1 seat.[2] Incumbent Latrelle Joy ran unopposed in the Lubbock City Council District 6 general election.[3]
