- There's no moderate position on healthcare. There's no moderate position on affordable housing. There's no moderate position on a living wage. Preaching patience to people for whom patience is no longer an option. As a leader, I do believe it is my job to not only met people where they are, to reflect the temperature of the times but it is also my job to set to set the temperature.
- What I've learned is that your past informs your present. But you don't have to be hostage to it, And at the same time, you should stand in the truth of that lived experience - whatever it is - and carry that with you in every room
