Laura LeWinn
Laura M. LeWinn was a judge of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, Part E. She was elevated to this Division on August 1, 2007.[1] She is now retired.
Education
Judge LeWinn received her bachelor's degree from Wellesley College and her J.D. from New York University School of Law.[1]
Career
Judge LeWinn began her career at the Office of the Public Defender. In 1974, she joined the Department of the Public Advocate and was named deputy director of the Division of Mental Health. In 1982, she began working as acting director of the division. She then worked as a private practice lawyer from 1985 until joining the Superior Court on April 6, 2001. She judged on the Family Division before becoming an appellate judge in 2007.[1]
