McGrory was appointed as the director of the Industrial Commission of Arizona (ICA) in November 2008. Prior to her appointment, McGrory had worked for the commission as a staff attorney in its legal division, as the assistant chief counsel, and as the chief counsel.[3]
McGrory resigned in September 2015 alongside two ICA commissioners after it was revealed that the commissioners had accepted combined per diem payments of $27,250 in fiscal year 2015.[2]
