Laura Petro was the Democratic Place 2 judge on Circuit 10 in Alabama, first taking office in December 2002. Petro won re-election in the general election on November 8, 2016. She retired in January 2019.[1]

Biography

Petro received her B.A. in sociology from Vanderbilt University in 1980 and her J.D. degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1983. Petro was admitted to the practice of law on September 23, 1983. She worked for the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office until 2002, when she became a judge.[2][3]
