Laura Wilson Phelan
Laura Wilson Phelan is a former nonpartisan member of the District of Columbia State Board of Education representing Ward 1. Phelan was first elected in 2014 and served until 2019.
Biography
Phelan's experience as a policy advisor includes time spent with the U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. House of Representatives. She has previously served with the Peace Corps and Teach for America.[1]
