|- I would like to focus on academic excellence. Utah's literacy rates are below 50%. We need to improve that and many other academic markers. THe state board policies should be clear and easily followed to help improve our academic focus in Utah!
- I would like to support a simplified teacher work load. Teachers need to be supported in their role as a teacher. They need to be able to teach the age groups and subjects they have been trained in. I would like to support policy that give bright lines to teachers responsibilities.
- I support open and transparent communication between schools and parents. All parents should have easy access to curriculum and content. I will support policy that improves parents role as primary teacher of their own children. Schools should support the parents.
