The judges of the Kentucky District Courts are elected in nonpartisan elections. They serve four-year terms and must run for re-election if they wish to serve again.[6][7]

Qualifications
To serve on this court, a judge must be:[6]

  • a U.S. citizen;
  • a resident of the represented district for at least two years; and
  • licensed to practice law for at least two years.

Primary: She was successful in the primary on May 20, 2014, receiving 24.0 percent of the vote. She competed against Angela Johnson, Eric Crump, and Bill Tingley.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 43.0 percent of the vote. She competed against Angela Johnson. [3][10]
