Hopkins ran for election to the 12th Judicial Circuit Court, Warren County assistant judge position.
Primary: She was defeated in the Republican primary on August 5, 2014, receiving 37.8 percent of the vote. She competed against Michael S. Wright.

Education
Hopkins received her J.D. from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.[4]
Career
Hopkins has been an attorney at the firm Hopkins & Hopkins, Attorneys at Law, since 2004.[4] Before this, she was an assistant prosecutor for two years in Jackson County.[5]
