I’m a third generation Whitmer graduate who has seen first-hand the power of education within our community. My husband and I met at Whitmer and then went on to study at The University of Toledo together. He is now a dedicated Toledo Firefighter, while I’ve advanced to a managerial role at a local software development company.

I would be honored to serve our community by advocating for the best use of our funds to enable the success of students, teachers, and staff members. When we are not working, you will find us active within the community. We are involved in back-to-school block parties, Keep Watch, Panthers for Christ, and serve in the food pantry. We also help lead the middle school ministry at Northpoint Church which means Sundays are full of youth group activities. This allows us to nurture valuable relationships with students within the district and understand where additional support may be needed.

I have close relatives with children attending Shoreland and McGregor Elementary, and Washington Jr High, which fuels my passionate to shape the future of our schools and community.

  • Prioritize District Health & Well-being: Our students would benefit from expanding our social work staff as we only have 1 social worker for the entire district.
  • Pandemic Rehabilitation: After reviewing our grade card, I believe there is room for improvement with our 3rd grade reading comprehension. As a way to combat this is, I would be in support of Universal Pre-K.
  • Streamline Communication Across The District Through The Use Of Technology: Effective communication will shift the WLS culture for the better! As a board member, I will be involved and advocate for our students, educators, and staff members.
My husband is a Toledo fireman so the safety of our community is of the utmost importance to me. I believe in supporting labor unions, and standing up for collective bargaining rights.
