Lauren “Laurie” Nowak is running to deliver for the middle class, working families, and fixed-income senior citizens. Her focus is on relieving inflation and lowering the massive property tax burden saddling Illinois residents.

She is an independent thinker with bold solutions, introducing common sense reforms that do what they claim: address tax accountability, invest in our communities, and cut out corruption and waste. From standing up to politician pay-raises while taxpayers are being stretched thin, to fighting against pay-to-play contracts and double-dipping pensions, Nowak is not another “yes man.”

A lifelong Bartlett resident, Nowak was the youngest female elected to the DuPage County Board in 2012. Aside from her public service as an elected official, she has professional experience across the nonprofit, government, and business sectors regarding education, health, and environmental issues. She is currently obtaining a dual master’s degree in Public Administration & Public Policy.
