Laurene Weste is an at-large member of the Santa Clarita City Council in California. She assumed office in 1998. Her current term ends in 2026.
Weste ran for re-election for an at-large seat of the Santa Clarita City Council in California. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
The Santa Clarita City Council elected Weste as mayor on December 14, 2021, for the sixth time since 1998.[1][2] Weste left office on December 13, 2022. [3]
Weste is a member of the Republican Party.[4]
Biography
Weste was born in Burbank, California.[5] In addition to serving on the Santa Clarita City Council, Weste has been a commissioner for the City Parks and Recreation Commission, a member of the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Advisory Board, and director of the Santa Clarita Valley Committee on Aging.[6]
