Laurie Cumbo

Biography
Cumbo obtained a B.A. in fine art from Spelman College and an M.A. in visual arts administration from New York University.[1]

Under New York law, candidates who run unopposed in a primary or general election win the nomination or election automatically, and their names do not appear on the ballot.[2] Incumbent Laurie Cumbo (D) defeated Jabari Brisport (Green) and Christine Parker (R) in the general election for the District 35 seat on the New York City Council.
