Monaghan ran for election in the 2012 election for Kansas House of Representatives District 2. Monaghan was defeated by Robert Grant (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2][3]
2010
Monaghan ran in the 2010 election for Kansas House of Representatives District 2. His opponents in the November 2 general election were Democratic incumbent Robert Grant and Republican candidate Jeffrey Locke. According to official results, Grant defeated Locke and Monaghan with 3,557 votes; Locke received 2,826 votes and Monaghan received 170.[4]
