Lawrence J. Permutter
Lawrence J. Permutter is a former associate circuit court judge for the 21st Circuit Court in Missouri.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor Matt Blunt (R) in 2008. Permutter was retained to the court in 2014 for a four-year term.[2] He retired from the court on February 10, 2017, because he reached the mandatory retirement age of 70.[3]
Education
Permutter received a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a J.D. from Washington University.[4]
Career
At the time of his judicial appointment, Permutter was an attorney at the law firm Goffstein, Raskas, Pomerantz, Kraus and Sherman.[4]

Drunk driving arrest (2015)
Judge Permutter was arrested on December 31, 2015, for driving under the influence and for failing to comply with police. Someone on the road called the police after witnessing Permutter's car cross a lane, hit a concrete wall and hit the wall again in trying to get back on the highway. The officer's report said that the judge admitted hitting the wall but "could not tell [him] why."[4]
