Lawrence M. Baskir was a federal judge for the United States Court of Federal Claims. He joined the court in 1998 after being nominated by President Bill Clinton. Baskir served as the Chief Judge of the Court from 2000 to 2002.[1] He retired from the court on April 1, 2013.[2]

Early life and education

Baskir earned his A.B. from Princeton graduating magna cum laude in 1959. He went on to earn an LL.B. from Harvard in 1962.[1]

Judicial career

Federal Claims

Baskir was nominated to the United States Court of Federal Claims by President Bill Clinton and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate and began duty on October 22, 1998.[1]
