For 15 years, I've called Kansas home, witnessing firsthand the struggles and triumphs of its diverse communities. My experience extends beyond the farmlands. I've seen the challenges faced by small businesses in bustling towns, parents worried about their children's education, and families struggling to access healthcare. My own upbringing taught me the value of hard work and resilience. That's why I couldn't just sit idle as a retired quality manager. My career was built on finding solutions, building consensus, and getting things done.
  • Quality Education For All Every child, regardless of whether they walk the halls of a large bustling school or a rural classroom, deserves a safe well resourced learning environment. We'll invest in all our schools, ensuring equitable funding, empowering teachers, and providing equal access to opportunities and resources for all students.
  • Rural Revitalization We'll advocate for fair markets and stable income for farmers, invest in sustainable practices and water conservation, and strengthen rural communities through expanded healthcare access, improved infrastructure, and educational opportunities for future generations.
  • Economic Opportunity A thriving Kansas needs good jobs and fair wages. We'll attract businesses, invest in infrastructure, and support workforce development to create a strong economy that benefits everyone.
I am passionate about several key areas of public policy that directly impact the lives of Kansans in District 32. These include:

Education:
Ensuring every child receives a quality education by supporting our teachers and adequately funding our schools.

Healthcare:
Working towards affordable and accessible healthcare for all Kansans, including protecting coverage for pre-existing conditions and expanding mental health services.

Economic Development:
Promoting policies that foster small business growth, create good-paying jobs, and support our agricultural community.

Public Safety:

Addressing issues like gun violence through common-sense reforms that keep our communities safe while respecting the Second Amendment
I have met many people that I admire and look up to. Every day heroes in my eyes. People who see solutions instead of problems. People who do not give up on their dreams. People who continue to love when their lives have experienced tragedy and heartache. People who focus on now, not on the past or concerns of the future.
I have read many books on leadership. I recommend reading Psalms 23. It has guided me through life with its wisdom on trust guidance and resilience
Be honest and transparent. Listen, understand, and care about constituents' needs. Own your actions and decisions.
I am a listener. I help people see connection and purpose in everyday occurrences. Staying focused. Helping people work together.
Be available and responsive to the public. Advocate the voice of the constituents' concerns.
Encourage working together to achieve a better quality of life for all Kansans
President Kennedy was shot. I was in the fifth grade. I had gone home for lunch. I heard it on the television. The President's motorcade was scheduled to pass in front of my school later in the afternoon.
My first job was as a busboy at a small restaurant. I was 14 and discovered my paycheck was miscalculated. I was terminated after my money was corrected. I had the job for 4 days.
Now, Discovery Your Strengths
A measure of my natural talent
Never really thought of being a fictional character. Happy being me.
Work together for the common good, honor each other's roles and responsibilities, and maintain open and honest dialogue.
Not good at remembering jokes.
A legislature should list and define the governor’s powers, and impose definite time constraints.
Committees that review economic opportunity and rural revitalization
Everyone wants to see how their tax dollars are spent, and how the government uses its resources.
