Larry Mulligan was born in Middletown, OH. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Bowling Green State University and currently resides with his wife in Middletown. He has been an educator for the last eight years, previously teaching for two years at Holgate Local Schools in Northwest Ohio and returning to his alma mater at Bishop Fenwick High School in Middletown.
  • Focus our attention back on Ohio's working families rather than corporations and lobbyists. Expanding Union jobs and workplaces paired with investments in renewable infrastructure.
  • Pursue fair funding for Ohio's Schools and promote Honesty in Education. We need to empower educators to improve retention rates and give their classrooms the proper tools and curriculum to prepare our students in the 21st century.
  • Fight for modern family values so that all Ohioans, regardless of race, religion, orientation, or gender can feel safe and thrive in our community.
As a teacher, education policy is where a lot of my passions are. Many issues at the Statehouse directly impact the lives of my colleagues and the students throughout our communities. Teachers, like many other public facing professions such as doctors, nurses, firefighters and police are forced to do "more with less" as each State Budget chips away at funding for local municipalities and school districts.

The classroom has also become a central focus for extreme legislation in Ohio that no one, regardless of party should stand for. Proposals to give school staff guns, bans on certain topics in the classroom, and legislation that targets vulnerable populations are passed at an alarming rate.

People want safe, healthy, communities with a single job that can provide for their family. Public schools are a central part of ensuring that this life is achievable for our district. I believe we need more educators with classroom experience in our state legislature to achieve these goals.
