Lawrence Walsh (New York judge)
Lawrence Edward Walsh (1912-2014) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Walsh was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on April 6, 1954, to a new seat created by 68 Stat. 8; he was confirmed by the Senate on April 27, 1954, and received his commission on April 28th. He resigned on December 29, 1957.[1] Walsh was succeeded in this position by Lloyd MacMahon. Walsh passed away at the age of 102 on March 19, 2014.[2]
Early life and education
Walsh earned both his A.B. and his LL.B. from Columbia University in 1932 and 1935, respectively.[1]
