LeBlanc, Hall to serve as officers in the Judiciary Commission of Louisiana

New Orleans, Louisiana: Two new officers have been selected for the Judiciary Commission of Louisiana. Carol LeBlanc, a citizen member of the commission since 2009 (and a member for two years prior) is the new chair. She has recently retired from service in the North Lafourche Conservation, Levee & Drainage District. She was praised by Laura Badeaux, director for the Center for Women and Government at Nicholls State University (of which LeBlanc is an honorary Hall of Fame member), who said, "She’s a leader who listens to all, but follows the rules and stays on task."[1] LeBlanc stated, "I just like being involved in the community."[1]
William Hall was selected to serve as vice-chair. He has also served on commission since 2009, but as an attorney member. He currently works as a private practice attorney in Jefferson Parish.
Both terms are for one year. The Judiciary Commission is responsible for investigating complaints of judicial misconduct and recommends disciplinary methods to the Supreme Court if warranted.[2]
