Leah King is an at-large member of the Tarrant Regional Water District Board of Directors in Texas. King assumed office in 2017. King's current term ends in 2029.
King ran for re-election for an at-large seat of the Tarrant Regional Water District Board of Directors in Texas. King won in the general election on May 3, 2025.
Biography
At the time of her 2017 run for office, King was the senior vice president and chief development officer for United Way of Tarrant County. Her professional experience also includes work as the vice president and marketing director for Northstar Bank of Texas, the senior vice president of marketing and communications for Holland Services, and the senior director of public affairs for Chesapeake Energy. King has served on the boards of Communities In Schools of Greater Tarrant County, the Child Study Center, the Cook Children's Health Care System, and Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail.[1]

Tarrant County, Texas, held an election for county college board of trustees and water district board of directors on May 6, 2017. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was February 17, 2017.
The Districts 3, 4, and 5 seats on the Tarrant County College District Board of Trustees and three seats on the Tarrant Regional Water District Board of Directors were up for election in 2017.[2][3] Leah King, James Hill, and incumbent Jack Stevens defeated incumbent Mary Kelleher and Andra Beatty in the general election for a seat on the Tarrant Regional Water District Board of Directors.[4]
