I am Navajo tribal member, a mom, an educator and researcher, and musician. Currently, I am fulfilling my calling to become a Chaplain with the goal to serve men and woman facing post traumatic injury.

Being from a multicultural background, I have had to overcome poverty, generational trauma from physical and sexual abuse violence, and some history of family alcoholism and drug addiction to living a life in recovery. Some would call me a marginalized woman. I call myself and overcomer!

I am proud to live in the International District which is filled with so much history and culture. We boast two thoroughfares to Kirtland Airforce Base and the New Mexico State Fairgrounds where events, concerts, and horseracing occur through the year. So many small businesses line the major streets.

I know that people want safety in their community and to feel secure when they enter our district.

New Mexico must have tougher laws on crime. Parents want to know their children are safe at school and that they can rely on local law enforcement when they are needed. I am especially concerned for the homeless and incarcerated; that men and women have appropriate opportunities change their lives to reduce recidivism, get off the streets and restore their lives.

I know the challenges of my community. I desire to be of service by listening to my constituents and fairly representing them not only during the legislative session but as a community activist and leader all year long.
  • I am a moderate conservative woman of faith who will defend our constitutional rights and the freedoms they provide which are afforded for all people.

I will defend our Republic and our U.S. Constitution. You may recall our Pledge of Allegiance ..." and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

I am concerned about the progressive agenda lead by progressive members of special interests groups that seek power for themselves under the guise that it is best for the people over fair representation. This kind of cronyism and collusion is taking New Mexico towards socialism and a Marxist ideology. We must have representatives who will defend our state against communism.
  • I do not support big government spending or tax increases on the hard-working families or upon small businesses. It is from my personal experience as a tribal member that too much personal reliance on government programs drives away the desire and fair competition for free enterprise. Businesses owners must have encouragement to stay in business here in New Mexico. Raising taxes to support more government programs eats into the profits of new business. We must encourage small business entrepreneurs. That almost means that business owners must have assurance of safety on their premises and sidewalks for their customers.
  • New Mexico is a border state that does not have adequate border security to accommodate the flux of border traffic and unsecured entry. I am completely in favor of legal immigration where immigrants can pursue the pathway to citizenship. However, it is the trafficking of fentanyl and other illegal and substances and the trafficking of sex workers which include women and children that must be stopped. New Mexico must have a secure border to protect citizens from foreign invasion of military-aged men crossing our borders and disappearing for nefarious purpose. An unsecure border leads to the criminally minded contributing to the crime problem in New Mexico.
As a former educator in our public schools, I am passionate about education for our youth. For years New Mexico is dead last in education scores and the effect is showing as our children age out of this system unprepared to adequately read, write, and perform math. The strain is having a negative affect on the moral of our teachers and upon the job market. The purpose of public education is to prepare our youth to find gainful employment and not only fill jobs in the workforce, but to become full community members and tax paying citizens.
My family members served in the Navy. I looked up to my dad. He was a man of God and Country. He worked hard, earned a college degree and became a landowner and a large apple farm operator and producer. He taught me to work hard, keep on task and complete the job because it needed to be done. He was faithful to my mom and took care of his family.
I believe it is a commitment to service. It would be a great honor to represent my constituents. I would be entrusted by their will to not vote solely on my personal values or ideals.

It is a fact that a large number of progressive incumbent representatives are held under contract for campaign support or receive money by organizations that encourage the sponsorship of and to pass policy on reproductive healthcare which include the terminating the sanctity of life.

I find that kind of action to be repugnant and contrary to act of selfless service and against any personal commitment to uphold the integrity of the office. Elected officials are held up to high standards of accountability and trust.

Therefore it is requisite of me to be accountable to my voters. My voters must able to depend on my actions to be consistent and rooted in my conservative values of principles. These values are set upon my belief in a biblical word view and the U.S. Constitution.

While it is clear that I have my personal moral code, I can not impose my personal beliefs upon the free will of other adults. Fairness and equality are at the forefront of my actions in seeking an elected position. This includes the rights of members of other religions and adult members of the LGBTQ community of which I have family members.
Knowing that I did the job to the best of my ability with the facts as present to me.
I was nine when Elvis Presley died. The nation mourned. People were so visibly moved by his passing. I was too young to understand the sadness and the loss the world felt.
Actually, I think my first job was working on the farm during chores. We had to earn our own money to buy school clothes.
The Holy Bible King James Version
It really is alive and current for today's challenges.
Tagney Taggart from Atlas Shrugged
She was brilliant, gutsy, compassionate and strong as steel.
I had a life changing car accident and sustained a traumatic brain injury and contracted hanta virus a few years before. I was very sick and had to recover. Often I was bedridden from exhaustion for 12 years. I worked my way back from a debilitating health condition to enjoy good health and restoration from the brain injury to healing. I was able to get a Master's degree in education. It was a struggle.
It is vital that the Executive Branch maintain clear and separate powers from the Legislative Branch of government. It is necessary to maintain the system of check and balances to prevent overreach of power.
I believe that changing the educational outcome for our youth is necessary for New Mexico to thrive economically. I believe that family should have choice and that money should follow the children. I believe that the parent should have the final say in what it is the best interest of their child's education. Ultimately, we want our children mature and have good paying jobs to provide for their families and be stable and contributing members to their communities in New Mexico, in rural communities, and on our reservation lands.
I believe that members elected to the state legislators be competent in reading and a bill and have experience in reading and understanding public policy issues.
Yes, because I am one vote in a body or caucus. On my own with one vote, I can not make as a long ranger.
I believe the most impactful stories are about water. There is such a fight for water in the desert. This affects the farmer and residents must have access to clean water.
I would like to introduce an education reform bill.
Commerce and Economic Development - My first job out of college was in Economic Development

Energy, Environment & Natural Resources - I am currently an employee within the gas and oil industry.

Education - I am an former public school teacher in Special Education.

Government, Elections & Indian Affairs - I am Navajo National tribal member. I maintain an avid interest on the integrity our elections and have served as an election worker and am a Voter Registration Agent.
I believe that financial transparency and government accountability should be held up to highest standards since tax payers are entrusting the government with their tax money. I am greatly concerned about the Federal Deficit.
I support the right for citizens to engage in the referendum process. I think it is vital that citizens feel empowered to ask through petition for legislators to repeal laws when citizens feel it is necessary. Citizens must be heard by the legislative body.
