Leanna Weissmann is a judge of the Indiana Court of Appeals 1st District. She assumed office in 2020. Her current term ends on December 31, 2032.
Weissmann ran for re-election for judge of the Indiana Court of Appeals 1st District. She won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.
Weissmann was appointed to the court on September 1, 2020, by Gov. Eric Holcomb (R) to replace John Baker.[1]
Biography
Education
Weissmann holds B.A. degrees in journalism and English from Indiana University and a J.D. from Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis.[2]
Career
Prior to her appointment, Weissmann worked as a private practitioner in Aurora, Indiana. Weissman has also been a member of the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission since 2013.[3]
