Lee Ann Sennick is the national committeewoman of the Republican Party of Rhode Island.[1]

Career

Since 1998, Lee Ann Sennick has served as controller for Wilfred's Seafood, Inc. in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.[2][1] Previously, Sennick was the host of a conservative talk show Take A Stand.[1]

Political activity

At the local level, Sennick is the chairwoman of the Woonsocket Republican City Committee and vice president of the Providence County of the Chairs’ Caucus. For the Republican Party of Rhode Island, Sennick serves on the Platform Committee and is the co-chair of the Messaging Committee. She also serves on the state Executive Committee. In 2014, she was elected as national committeewoman.[1]

In 2015, Sennick, along with Rhode Island Republican Party Chairman Brandon S. Bell and national committeeman Steve Frias, crafted the delegate rules for the state party, which were modeled on the national rules used in the 2008 and 2012 Republican National Conventions. The rules, according to WPRI News Providence, have come under some scrutiny because Rhode Island is not a winner-take-all state, which State Rep. Joseph Trillo (R) argues hampers "the state’s ability to have a major influence on the contest."[3]
