Elections for the Idaho State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Write-in candidate Heidi J. Knittel was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Todd Lakey defeated Lee Rice in the Republican primary. Knittel was defeated by Lakey in the general election.[1][2][3][4]
