Lee Tafanelli
Lee Tafanelli was a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 47th District. He first served from 2001-04, and then from 2007 to January 28, 2011. Tafanelli was sworn in and received his new rank of major general in Kansas at a pinning ceremony January 28, 2011 in the Senate Chambers.[1]
Policy Positions
Tafanelli refused to take Project Vote Smart's 2008 Political Courage Test. The test, which is administered to all candidates for presidential, congressional, gubernatorial, and state legislative offices, asks one central question - "Are you willing to tell citizens your positions on the issues you will most likely face on their behalf?"[2]

Tafanelli won re-election to the 47th District seat against Jim Faris (D). Tafanelli had no opposition in the GOP primary. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[4]

On November 4, 2008, Tafanelli was re-elected to the 47th District Seat in the Kansas House of Representatives with no opposition.[5] He raised $32,376 for his campaign.[6]
