Waldrup's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Drug Epidemic: I will make sure that the funds the MHAS needs to provide these services continue to be committed to the budget. That these processes are continually reviewed and improved. We will help the police with enforcement and cut the cord at the source (the dealers). This problem can be solved but you can’t do it by ignoring it. We have to face it head on with treatment, enforcement and awareness. Every life is precious from the baby in the womb to the person on their death bed they all count the same. No matter if you are rich or poor, man or woman the grave is the same. We need to start treating each other like it. Infrastructure: As far as local projects go. There are a lot of programs through O.D.O.T. and U.S.D.O.T. to help towns take care of their streets. Very few towns in our area have been using these programs. Forcing communities to deal with crumbling infrastructure. There are also programs to help with bridge repair. We need to take full advantage of these program to help our communities grow. Jobs: If we want companies to do business with us we need to be more visible. How do we become more visible? We pass legislation at the state and local levels to attract more companies. Yes, we give tax breaks to businesses. If we don’t they will simply go to another state. We reach out to them to gauge interest in our area. Find out why other companies in the past didn’t want to do business with us. Education:
