Leland B. Harris was a judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in Los Angeles County, California.[1] He was appointed to the court by former Republican Governor George Deukmejian in January 1991 and retired from the bench on May 8, 2015.[2]

Education

Harris received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge in 1969 and his J.D. from the University of San Diego in 1972.[2]

Career

Before his appointment to the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in 1991, Harris served in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for 17 years.[2]

Elections

2012

Harris ran for re-election to the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in 2012. As an unopposed incumbent, his name did not appear on the ballot. After the primary election, Harris was automatically re-elected.[3]
