Leo Drozdoff
Leo Drozdoff is a former Nevada Director of Conservation and Natural Resources. Drozdoff was appointed by Gov. Jim Gibbons (R) in 2010.[1]
Governor Brian Sandoval (R) announced on July 21, 2016, that Drozdoff would retire later that year, effective at the end of the day on September 6, 2016.[2]
Biography
Prior to becoming director, Drozdoff was the administrator of the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection, an agency within the DCNR.[3] Drozdoff also served as the Bureau Chief of Mining Regulation and Reclamation and as Deputy Administrator for Nevada Division of Environment Project’s water programs.[3]

Drozdoff was appointed by Gov. Jim Gibbons (R) as Nevada Director of Conservation and Natural Resources in 2010. He officially assumed the position on May 1, 2010.[4]
Governor Brian Sandoval (R) announced on July 21, 2016, that Drozdoff would retire later that year, effective at the end of the day on September 6, 2016. "I will miss his leadership at the Department but wish him the very best as he enters into his retirement from state service," said Sandoval upon the announcement.[2]

Drozdoff was appointed as acting Nevada Director of Conservation and Natural Resources on March 24, 2010 by Gov. Jim Gibbons. Drozdoff replaced Allen Biaggi, who had served in the role since 1994.
“Leo Drozdoff will be a perfect fit to make sure DCNR doesn’t miss a beat during this transition,” Gibbons stated.[5]
