Leo Foley
Leo Foley (b. October 25, 1928) was a Democratic member of the Minnesota State Senate. He was first elected in 1996 and re-elected in November of 2006, his term expiring in 2010. He was defeated in the November 2, 2010, general election.
Foley graduated from Metropolitan State University in 1974 with his bachelor's degree and graduated from Minnesota State University with his master's degree in 1979. Foley later earned his juris doctor degree from William Mitchell College in 1994.[1]
Foley is also the county attorney for Anoka County.[1]

Foley lost re-election to the 47th District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. Benjamin Kruse ran for the seat on the Republican ticket and Andrew Kratoska ran for the Independence Party. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.
2006
On November 7, 2006, Foley won re-election to the 47th District Seat in the Minnesota State Senate, defeating Scott Schulte (R).[3]
