Leon M. Firtel was a judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court, Criminal Division, in Florida. He was first elected on September 3, 1996. He retired when his most recent term expired on January 5, 2015.[1][2][3]

Education

Firtel received a B.S. in business administration from the University of Florida in 1966 and a J.D. from the University of Miami in 1972.[1][4]

Career

Firtel began his career in 1972 as a private practice lawyer. He then worked as an assistant Miami City attorney from 1983 through 1995. In 1996, he was elected to the circuit court.[1]
