Primary: He was defeated in the primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 33.19 percent of the vote. He competed against Mark Ashton Cope. [1][2]

Cravens received his B.S. in computer science from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo in 1982, his M.S in management information systems from Golden Gate University in 1987, and his J.D. from Lincoln Law School in 1999.[3]
