Leonard Livote is a judge of the New York Supreme Court 11th Judicial District. He assumed office on January 1, 2021. His current term ends on December 31, 2034.
Livote (Democratic Party, Republican Party, Conservative Party) ran for re-election for judge of the New York Supreme Court 11th Judicial District. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Livote served as a judge of the Court of Claims of New York from 2010 to 2017. Gov. David Paterson appointed Livote in 2010.[1][2]
Education
Livote received his B.A. degree from the City University of New York - Queens College and his J.D. degree from the Western New England School of Law. He was admitted to the Bar in 1979.[1]
Career
Livote was the principal law clerk to Supreme Court justices from 1990 to 2004. He then served as legal counselor and advisor to the 11th Judicial District (Queens County) Administrative Judge. In 2007, he was appointed Court Attorney Referee for the Queens County Supreme Court. In 2010, he joined the Court of Claims and Supreme Court.[1][3]
