Leonard Steinman II ran for election to the Jefferson City City Council to represent Ward 4 in Missouri. He lost in the general election on April 6, 2021.

Steinman was previously as a Democratic candidate for Governor of Missouri in the 2016 election.[1] He was a 2014 Republican candidate for the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of Missouri. In 2012, Steinman was a Libertarian candidate for Governor of Missouri, but he withdrew from the race on April 20, 2012.[2]

Steinman is a retired truck driver and frequent candidate for political offices. He graduated from Jefferson City High School and earned a degree in welding technologies from Columbia College.[3]

Steinman is married to fellow 2014 District 3 candidate, Velma Steinman.[4]

Steinman ran as a Democratic candidate for Governor of Missouri in 2016 and was defeated in the August 2 Democratic primary election by Attorney General Chris Koster. He competed with Koster Charles B. Wheeler, and Eric Morrison in the primary election.[1]
