Recall supporters
Mike Kispert and Gloria Heinke initiated the recall campaign. Kispert said that Wahl and Wranosky waited too long to inform residents about a proposed solar energy project in town.[2]
Jeff Folts, who filed to run in the recall election, alleged that Wranosky and Wahl had a conflict of interest because, as private citizens, they had made a contract for the use of their land with NextEra, the solar energy developers.[2]
Recal opponents
Wranosky said that the board had no conflict of interest because the Wisconsin Public Service Commission, not the town board, had the authority to review and license the development. Wranosky and Wahl added that NextEra contracted with private citizens rather than the town itself.[2]
