This measure sought to add to the current street levy by a rate of $.09 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for construction and repair of roads and bridges in the township.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
An additional tax for the benefit of Leroy Township for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing, and repair of streets and roads at a rate not exceeding 0.9 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 9 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3] |
