Les Shively is a judge for the Vanderburgh County Superior Courtof Indiana. He was appointed to the position by Governor Mitch Daniels, effective March 1, 2013, to fill the vacancy left by judge David D. Kiely who is now serving on the Vanderburgh County Circuit Court.[1][2] He was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[3]

Education

Shively received bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana University. He received his J.D. from Indiana University’s McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis in 1980.[1]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Shively worked in private practice for more than thirty years. Most recently, he worked with Shively and Associates. Shively has also previously worked in public service, acting as general counsel for the Evansville Area Association of Realtors from 1982 to 2000, and working for several local government offices in Vanderburgh and Warrick counties.[1]
