I’m a proven lawmaker with a track record of bipartisan success and a working mom who knows the challenges families face. In my two terms in the General Assembly, my priorities have been lowering childcare costs, improving public safety, and expanding access to healthcare. I earned bipartisan support to ban ghost guns and prevent gun violence. Last year, I served as President of the Women’s Caucus, where we led on protecting reproductive rights across Maryland. As a working mother with two young sons, I know we need more moms in Congress. I bring a lived experience that informs my work and a proven record as a legislator that makes me ready to hit the ground running and deliver for the 6th District.
  • I have a proven record of bipartisan success in the legislator, from banning ghost guns to protecting reproductive choice. My fellow Democrats mostly agree on issues, but I am the only one who has a proven record of delivering results and earning bipartisan support.
  • I have the lived experience to advocate for families in the 6th district. I was raised by a single mom serving in the U.S. Navy. I worked my way through school, serving as a domestic worker to support myself as a young professional. I am now a working mother with two young kids juggling childcare costs and grocery bills. I understand what families in this district are going through and will be their advocate in Congress.
  • I have led on the issues that matter. In Annapolis, I have a proven track record of delivering on issues like reproductive rights, gun violence prevention, and healthcare access.
I am passionate about healthcare reform, climate change, gun violence prevention, as well as protecting reproductive care. I am also passionate about immigration reform and protecting our environment.
A successful elected official has to know how to make policy and advocate for their constituents, rather than just know how to make noise. Someone with the ability to build bridges and deliver for the district is important.
An elected official’s main responsibility is to represent their constituents to the best of their abilities. The 6th district is very diverse in demographics, geography, and challenges. I believe that a successful elected official will be able to represent every corner of the district.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Maryland

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states.  To contribute to the list of Maryland scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
