Leslie Brock Yates was a judge on the Texas Fourteenth District Court of Appeals. She was elected to this position on November 8, 1994[1] and her term expired on December 31, 2010.[2]
Education
Justice Yates received her B.A. degree from the University of Florida and her J.D. degree from the University of Houston Law Center. She is now married and has two sons.[1]
Career
Justice Yates began her legal career as a trial attorney. She worked as a general attorney practicing personal injury defense for Union Pacific Railroad and then became an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County, where she worked as the Chief Prosecutor in the misdemeanor and felony courts. She was elected to the Court of Appeals in 1994.[1]
