  • Our Children deserve an economy better than the one we grew up with that's why we must focus on educational resources that guarantee secure financial resource K-12 schools, 2-year colleges, and after school programs.
  • Economic Development with a primary focus on Housing and Farming A primary focus must be on affordable housing as an avenue to bring back the middle class and overcome the housing crises. Our farmers are hurting bad due to rising cost of fuel, food and fertilizers. Only by helping them grow their crops will we be able to get a handle on Georgia's food shoetage.
  • Representation for all!!! Too many people are feeling left behind especially in rural Georgia. Georgians deserve a state representative that will fight for equal representation for all with inclusive opportunities for all to grow and prosper I WILL NOT stop fighting until the life of every rural Georgian is realize as equally important and every rural Georgian to have the same opportunity for their hopes and dreams to be realized.
Public Health, Safety, Regulations, & Fair Treatment and Trades is almost missing in our society and is felt throughout Georgia. However, rural Georgians are even more so left behind. I will vote for any policy that provides consumer and environmental protections, public safety, and protects against gun violence while at the same time protect our 2nd amendment rights, and I will vote "yes" to policies that provide protections for our roads, schools, parks and libraries
I look up to my father and the many unknown men and women who fought with no respect of person, color, or financial status for us all. Men and Women who believed in the American dream and the allegiance to One Nation, under GOD with Liberty and Justice for us all.
I was a Leader of Community Unity and Successful at Bridging the gap Across Racial Divides
The Shooting death and funeral of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I was seven years old. It was the first time I saw my father cry. He sat me on his knee as he pulled the four of his children around him. He told us that a great man was being buried, and that he had dine great work for us all. He told us how he led a non-violent movement for freedom, equality, and fair treatment for us all. My father was leading the movement in the rural county of Fitzgerald Georgia and had often spoke of Dr. King in his speeches as he and his entire family traveled throughout the region. While I did not understand it all then, my understand grew as I got older, and my love for politics and history grew. It shaped who I am today, and why I run for change. I will continue until the true meaning of Dr. King's dream is realized.
Cashier for Atlanta Life Insurance Company. Because I was still in high school and lived in Fitzgerald, Ga and worked in Waycross, Georgia, my work was summer employment only. I was employed there for three summers before i graduated high school and went to college in Atlanta, GA
Up from Slavery because it brought to life for me the historical context of my roots and how as a family we learn to overcome the odds through Love
Thank You Lord for All You've Done for ME
Knowing When to Say NO, and helping financially even when it hurts me
I believe that the state legislature is in place to help the governor understand the needs of their constituents and ensure that laws and policies are pass that includes and adhere to majority and not the few. I believe that the role of the legislature and the governor is not to appease the desires of those who donate to them or just their base, but together they are to ensure that white they are seeing about their constituents they do not impede on the rights of other but ensure the laws are justifiable and fair to the majority and not just the few.
I believe that because we are a nation of many persons, ethnicities, and backgrounds it is important that we consider all in our decision making. With that said, I also believe that we should never compromise our integrity in policymaking when it comes to the safety and protection of all Americans. To do so would be to lose oneself in politics and not truly represent the vast difference we have in the people we serve. I will not comprise the love I have in my heart for all and give in to hatred and selfish lawlessness just because of another's unbelief.

Lethia Jones Kittrell has deep roots in the District 155 community, and has long been dedicated to serving it. She's currently a small business owner, a local minister, a former Adult Education instructor, and has been active with several nonprofit organizations. Lethia has always been an initiator and community leader; from a young age, she first became involved in community action while watching Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s funeral service with her father. She remembers watching her father tearing up and saying to her, "That man has made a difference in ALL lives." She is running to make sure no one in District 155 is left behind and to remind everyone that we are, "Better Together". Lethia was born and raised in Fitzgerald, Georgia, the third child born to the late Rev. Herbert L. Jones Sr., and the late Mrs. Angeline Gillis Jones. She is a graduated of Fitzgerald High School and earned her bachelor's degree from Clark Atlanta University, where she majored in Political Science and Social Services. Her God driven passion to serve others and give them a hand up to a better life is the reason she has decided to run
  • I stand up for struggling families who feel they will never achieve the American Dream they deserve due to economic inequality.
  • I fight for the vanishing middle class who use to think they were middle class, but now know that they are not.
  • I am compassionate about the issues that come before me, and will not stop until I have found a permanent solution for all
I am concerned and ready to fight for the growing Broadband issues highlighted even the more by the Pandemic that demonstrates a need for immediate solutions to the lack of access to broadband throughout Georgia's rural communities, as in my own district. The Pandemic has shined a spotlight on the fact that Internet Infrastructure, Net Neutrality, and Digital Inclusion and, as one person called it, the "Digital Divide," should be a top focus for anyone in office. The economic and educational opportunities between rural and urban communities are even more prevalent today and has magnified the fact that something must be done.

I am committed to working across the aisle to help with Community Development and Affordable Housing. I Support ending unfair practices in the housing market, fighting for financial assistance to help citizens buy or rent safe, quality housing, and expanding resources to local and state partners working to end homelessness

I am determined to fight for Georgia's farmers who were already hurt when Hurricane Michael destroyed more than $2 billion worth of crops in 2018, were impacted again by the trade wars and tariffs on American products as a result of the white house campaign, and continue have continued to be hit hard under the weight of loss from the many storms that have plagued our area, and continues to get hit hard along with us all in the face of the Corona Virus.
I first became involved in community action while watching Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s funeral service with my father, I was seven years old. I remember watching my father tearing up and saying to me, "That man has made a difference in ALL lives." During the time my father was the President of the Ben Hill County Civics League, Inc and served as civic rights leader throughout my district and surrounding counties for the next 12 years throughout the Civic Rights days. We were marched from program to program and sat on the front row as we listened to my father stand up and speak out about the unfair issues and unequal plight challenging our communities. From that time on, I worked and fought alongside my father as an advocate for change. As was his, my passion was for the needy regardless of color, economic status, or position. I have been the one conduit in the room often used by God to foster much needed change from the inside out, in any environment . I have sat around the table with Doctors & Lawyers, Judges and teachers, preachers and preschoolers, young and old. I have advocated and won change for the better. It's who I am and It's what I do thanks to the influence of one Herbert L. Jones, Sr.
Cashier for Atlanta Life Insurance Insurance Company, in Waycross, Georgia. I worked it for three summers as my summer job between college.
