  • United: We are the Answer. Determined to rebuild trust between the City and the people it serves, and his campaign slogan reminds the public that government isn't just the mayor, it's the various communities coming together to build the City we all want together.
  • Lewis was born and raised in Jersey City. He fully understands how public policy enacted to serve residents can often be harmful, and believes in the importance of listening to constituents and understanding their challenges, so that the policy he develops can actually meet their needs.
  • "How you start is how you'll finish." Lewis is building his campaign the way he will build his administration, with transparency, accountability, and a deep focus on understanding the needs of constituents from every community in the City.
Lewis' policy platform is built on four pillars, Safety, Training and Education, Access and Affordability, and Yours. He believes that these pillars are all interconnected and necessary to achieve a city where residents are safe, can gain a high-quality public education that prepares them for 21st-century jobs, so they can afford to live comfortably and feel a greater level of commitment to the City. His ultimate goal is to ensure that the most diverse mid-city in the United States also has economic diversity, with opportunities for every community in the city to thrive and achieve prosperity.
