Lewyn Scott Garrett
Lewyn Scott Garrett (Democratic Party) is a judge of the Orphans Court of Baltimore City in Maryland. He assumed office in 1995. His current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Garrett (Democratic Party) ran for re-election for judge of the Orphans Court of Baltimore City in Maryland. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Biography
Education
Judge Garrett received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He went on to earn a J.D. from the University of Maryland Law School.[1]
Career
Judge Garrett maintains an active private law practice. He was sworn into the Maryland State Bar at the age of 22. He has previously taught at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.[1]

Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 19.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Charles Bernstein, Stephan W. Fogleman, Granville Templeton, III, Mark H. Weisner, and incumbent Judge Michele E. Loewenthal.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. Three seats were up for election.
