Lida Harkins
Lida Harkins (b. January 24, 1944) was a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. She represented the Thirteenth Norfolk from 1988-2011 and served as Majority Whip.
Harkins worked as Program Director of The Education Co-Operative from 1985-1988, and a teacher in Boston Public Schools, Wakefield Parochial School from 1966-1968.
Harkins is Chairman of the Special Commission to Look At Alternatives to Property Tax, and a member of the Democratic Town Committee, Charles River Association for Retarded Citizens Board of Directors, Boston Network for Women in Politics and Government, and the Needham Transportation Committee.[1]
